Betting on the SANFL
The AFL may be top dog in Australia when it comes to Aussie Rules football, but the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) sits proudly in second place. The SANFL is the oldest surviving football league in the land, having been founded in April 1877. Today, 10 teams from the state of South Australia compete every year for the right to call themselves SANFL champions.
The SANFL is a single-division league that, like the AFL, takes place during the Australian winter. Most recently won by Norwood for their 31st premiership, the 2023 season runs from 31st March and ends with a Grand Final on 24th September.
